An Easy Wasabi Mayonnaise
Sushi is definitely one of our all-time favorite foods here at The Wooden Skillet and the perfect addition to sushi, whether you make it at home or order takeout, is this super simple wasabi mayo. It takes less than 5 minutes to make and the flavor really brings your sushi to the next level! You have to try it!
What You Will Need
- mayo – just grab your favorite – if you have the time, we love this homemade version!
- wasabi – any wasabi would work, this is the one that we used in this recipe. You can adjust the amount to your desired taste or spiciness.
What Does Wasabi Mayo Taste Like?
This wasabi sauce has a similar taste to a hot mustard or horseradish. Actually, wasabi is also called Japanese Horseradish so if you have tasted a horseradish before it will have similarities.
What Do You Eat With Wasabi Mayo?
In addition the the traditional soy sauce, we definitely love to drizzle it on most sushi rolls and sashimi or use it to dip! It will really bring them to the next level. You could also add this to a sandwich, tuna burgers, or even a salad dressing. Your guests will love it!
How Long Does It Last In The Refrigerator?
You can store this homemade wasabi sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
How To Make Wasabi Mayo
Pick out your favorite wasabi to purchase from your local grocery store or asian grocery store.
Measure out your ingredients.
Mix them together.
Enjoy or store in the refrigerator for later use!
