- canned tomato paste – the tomato base for this simple ketchup recipe.
- apple cider vinegar – a little bit added for that slight tangy flavor, feel free to adjust to your personal preference.
- apple juice – added for a touch of sweetness, plus it helps to thin out the ketchup.
- garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and ground cloves – simple seasonings that bring the flavor you know and love about this favorite condiment!

Ingredients
- 12oz tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir to combine.
- Place in airtight container and store in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
Notes
- Thin Out: to thin out, add apple juice (& to make it sweeter) or apple cider vinegar (for a more vinegar taste). Add a 1/2 tablespoon at a time, stir, and taste.
