The Best Honey Mustard Salad Dressing
You are never going to buy store-bought salad dressing again after you try this simple homemade option! It only takes 5 minutes and 6 real, simple ingredients. It is the perfect addition to all of those homemade summer salads (like our Honey Mustard Chicken Salad) or serve as a dip with some fresh vegetables or chicken tenders! The whole family will love devouring this sweet, but tangy dressing.
What You Will Need
- plain Greek yogurt – the perfect creamy base for this salad dressing, but you also have the option of using a plain, unsweetened dairy-free yogurt if you want it to be dairy-free.
- yellow mustard & Dijon mustard – we love the combination of the two mustard flavors here!
- honey – just a touch of sweetness so that it doesn’t get too tangy.
- lemon zest – a little acidity helps to amplify all of the great flavor in this dressing.
- kosher salt & pepper – every homemade dressing needs at least a pinch of both.
How To Use Honey Mustard Dressing
You really can’t go wrong here! This dressing is so good that we could eat it with just about anything. Here are a few ideas for you:
- salad dressing – every time we make this dressing we find ourselves making salads out of pretty much anything or just drizzling it just on a pile of mixed greens or lettuce – any chance we have to eat more of it! We especially love it on our Honey Mustard Chicken Salad or a simple Grilled Chicken Salad!
- dipping – if we aren’t adding this to a salad, then you can find us dipping just about anything in it! Any fresh veggies that we can find (i.e. carrots, celery, bell peppers) or some of our delicious chicken tenders or homemade chicken nuggets.
- drizzling – this creamy dressing is also great to serve with a perfectly smoked or grilled pork tenderloin, grilled chicken thighs, or drizzle it all over a variety of roasted, sautéed or grilled vegetables!
