Every year we make a big batch of our own homemade pumpkin pie spice because it is super easy and then we have it on hand for tossing in ALL the pumpkin recipes – coffee, smoothies, muffins, breads, pies…the list goes on and on because pumpkin season is the best season!
What You Will Need
- Cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, all spice, and cloves – it only takes 5 ingredients (that are probably already in your pantry) to make that delicious blend of “warm” fall flavors that you know and love!
Is Pumpkin Pie Spice The Same As Pumpkin?
No, pumpkin spice or pumpkin pie spice doesn’t actually contain pumpkin. It is just a combination of spices that is commonly used in a lot of pumpkin recipes that is full of “warm” fall flavors.

- 2 3/4 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions
- Measure out your spices.
- Mix them together in a bowl.
- Use them immediately or store for future use.
