An Easy Pulled Pork Nachos Recipe
The weekends (during the Fall & Winter months) in our house are for football and nachos! It is a weekly, family tradition and here at The Wooden Skillet we love traditions. These nachos have been perfected over the years and they are simply the best! Feel free to get creative and customize the toppings to whatever you like. This is great for getting the kids involved – everyone can choose what they want!
What You Will Need
- tortilla chips – feel free to grab your favorite, regular or gluten-free!
- pulled pork – we have a couple options for homemade pulled pork including: slow cooker, instant pot or smoked.
- bbq sauce – you can use any bbq sauce you want, but we love our homemade version!
- shredded cheese – option to grab a dairy-free cheese if you want.
- black beans – the perfect addition to any plate of nachos!
- tomatoes & green onions – some fresh ingredients that bring great taste and color.
- optional toppings – fresh cilantro, salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
How To Prepare The Pulled Pork For These Nachos
To make these nachos you will need about 2 cups of cooked pulled pork. We’ve seen some grocery stores sell already cooked pulled pork or you can easily make it at home. We have perfected the most amazing pulled pork recipes that can be made in the Instant Pot, smoker, or slow cooker. And the best part about making it at home is that you will have plenty of leftover pork to use in another meal that week or easily freeze it and use it another time!
What Are Good Toppings for Pulled Pork Nachos
There are so many great options! On the nachos in the images below we used black beans, tomatoes, and green onions. We also love using sliced black olives, fresh cilantro, sour cream, salsa, or the best homemade guacamole! And if you want to spice it up, you can always toss on some jalapeños.
How To Make Pulled Pork Nachos
First, you will want to cook and shred your pulled pork – either slow cooker, instant pot or smoker options are on the blog!

Then you can prepare the nachos by putting a layer of tortilla chips on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Next, you will add some of the cheese.

And then another layer of tortilla chips. The magic of these nachos is all in the layering!

Now add your pulled pork, tomatoes, black beans, green onions, and a drizzle of bbq sauce.

And another generous layer of shredded cheese!

Bake the nachos at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes and then add any additional toppings you want. Enjoy!!
